On the southbound carriageway of the A38, between Burton upon Trent and Lichfield, go to the Travellodge carpark just after Burton. The yard can be viewed from here. Unless you have permission, you can't get into the industrial estate - it has a huge security gate.
The rear of the estate can be viewed from a public footpath which runs from just north of the Travellodge, through the hedge alongside the A38 (signposted but quite overgrown) and along the northern edge of the estate towards the main line (where there is a footbridge over it.)
The new Central Rivers depot is nearby, just off the next junction on the carriageway.
Usual machines
Usually a Jarvis owned machine can be found undergoing refurbishment. More recently, EWS owned shunters have been noted there, and occasionally other companies machines have been seen.

All of the ex joint venture SRS's are at the back of LH awaiting refurbishment I sent the photos in hopefully they will be put on here

most of the srs are to be converted into drainage vehicles so i believe.

there was a proposal to convert these for other uses, however at this time the machines are being refurbished as platforms, the first two will be released any day soon.

Is there any news on the SRS vechiles, have they been refurbished.
