Location Profile - Frodingham OTPD

Major new base for GrantPlant. Site is a bit messy and open to the elements. Work on renovating the old locoshed not yet complete. Much can be seen from outside if access not possible. R/R's are in a secure area within the general site.

From Scunthorpe station, turn right into Station Rd and go to far end and cross the main road (which is the road from the A18 which passes the Steelworks and rises up over the main railway lines) into High St. East (Pub with windmill on the corner). Follow this road as it swings to the left and turn first right. (This is Dawes Lane - the road that runs right through the Corus site towards the ore branch, but currently not accessible as a through route from the eastern end due to repairs on the bridge where it ducks under the main line).
Having turned into Dawes Lane, GrantPlant entrance is about 200 yards on on the right after crossing the Roxby/Flixborough branch.
Usual machines
OTP of varied sorts. R/R's, locos & wagons. Will obviously be a revolving feast, depending on current contracts. Don't assume the big Matisa's or the Kirow crane will be here - March is their base.
