Location Profile - West Ealing - Plasser & Theurer works

Plasser and Theurer Parts and Services UK HQ. Obviously a private company - can be a bit sensitive for photography. Amey machines also park in the sidings outside the works.

Visible from trains into and out of London Paddington between West Ealing and Hanwell stations. Being located inside a triangle of railway lines (see map) the works is also visible from trains to Greenford between West Ealing and Drayton Green stations. (The third line round the back is freight only.) On foot, leave West Ealing station and turn left. Take first left into Manor Road and continue parallel to the main line all the way down to Drayton Green. Carry on down the road and follow it over the level crossing to the Plasser visitors car park. Anything in the yard can be seen from here.
At weekends however the gates to this area are now often locked shut making viewing near on impossible apart from passing trains.
Usual machines
Usually newly delivered machines can be found there, but occassionally, there is an older machine there for repair.

Yes the new automated security gates make entry into the visitors car park difficult at any time now without authorisation. Best views are now from passing trains on the mainline or to/from Greenford branch. A limited view into the works can be gained from the nearby footbridge.
