Jarvis operate out of Wood Yard and have offices nearby. EWS operate out of the locomotive depot.

From the station / town centre head out of the town on the A6182 signposted towards Carr Industrial Estates and the racecourse. After the large roundabout you need to take a right turn into Ten Pound Walk although because this is dual carriageway I think you have to continue to the next island, take a U turn and then turn left into it. You will pass a F1 motel on the right then continue straight on down the road - the Wood Yard is on the left now. This road eventually also leads down to the Jarvis offices and EWS Carr locomotive depot.

Usual machines

Wood Yard can have various items of OTP including cranes and ballast cleaners, although anything involved in local engineering work could be found here. The EWS depot car park often contains lorries with small items of plant on the back - such as PLs.
