After languising for many months at Crewe OTPD, GTRM have recently sold their Matisa A05C tamper to the Welsh Highland Railway Ltd.
Currently at the Ffestiniog Railway's workshops at Glan-Y-Pwll, it will be converted to two-foot gauge, and will be used on the 'new' Welsh Highland Railway between Porthmadog and Caernarfon. Eventually, it's body will also be rebuilt allowing use on both the Ffestiniog Railway and Welsh Highland Railway.
The railway is looking for any information about this machine's history. If you know anything, however small, then please send it in and I will pass it on. Many thanks in advance.
