Several international machines have been working on the construction of the CTRL over recent months. As some of the route lurks underground, the machines used haven't been seen much.
Here's a rare glimpse of two of them at Dollands Moor.
99.87.9.124.518-1
'518 is a Framafer (Plasser) 108-475S tamper (#1007 of 1993) owned by S.A. Offroy. It returned to France on March 19th.

99.87.9.125.513-1
513 is a Matisa R24LS Ballast Regulator owned by SECO-Rail.

Actually saw this R24 regulator being built in Switzerland in 2003, its a beast of a thing with 2 profile brushes 2 sets of ploughs and huge lateral profile plughs. This reggie would be any Section Managers dream as it would work all of his patch and perform a very good job in no time.
