More New Plassers

Recently, several new vehicles built by Plasser & Theurer have been delivered.

Firstly, Carillion has taken delivery of another 08-4x4/4S-RT Switch & Crossing Tamper. Numbered DR73936, the build number is 1226 of 2003.

From this, it may be safe to say that 73932/73935 are 1224 and 1225 respectively (until they are confirmed).

Balfour Beatty are also the proud new recipients of a machine. DR73937, an 08-16/4x4C100-RT has been delivered. This is now at the Gloucestershire & Warwickshire Railway for five weeks of training. The build number is 3098 of 2003.

Finally, some new wagons have also been noted at the companies Ealing site. Assumed to be of the MFS-D type, vehicles currently present are DR92287, 92295, 92296, 92297 and 92298. These are to work with a new Network Rail owned Plasser RM900RT ballast cleaner, due for delivery in 2004.
