Arr Good ole '1483' (Plasser works number). If i'm not mistaken that must be the one and only hyper speed 98207 stabled behind it. Tractor unit of 207 still around awaiting the hot spanner at Ashford next to 209. Both trailers went in the 2004 cull.

When this m/c was based at sittingbourne is was commonly known as the tidal tamper,as some of the old ops will tell you. when 1483 was swapped with 1480 ie, hither green/sittingbourne and vice/versa the name still stuck.

i was a machine operater with irish rail on hedgecutter 726 now scrapped and points and crossing tamper 750
