Can anyone advise if this machine now preserved on the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway? If it is they are certainly building up a fair collection: 73303, 73315 and 98207 among others.

Was until fairly recently a long term resident of Carlisle Upperby ,,so long in fact some said Stats had expired & permission had to be obtained for a one off move to a siding in Carlisle with lorry access ( Howe & Co ) just off Newcastle / S&C route

This machine departed Toddington on a low loader, bound for the big railway in the sky, on Wednesday 25th June. Components stripped from it are going towards the upkeep of 73303 and 315.

won't be using many parts on 303 different series 303 is a dinosaur should have been sent to the railway in the sky long ago

But 303 and 304 couldn't be beaten for crosslevel, they had pendulums and lift transducers fitted between the banks (where they should be), unlike later S+C machines with pendulum and lift on the lining trolley ahead of the banks.

But yep, not many parts from 414 would be much use to either machine really, maybe engine, gearbox but the day to day parts that really matter, 414 won't be much use!
