Interesting numbering on the match refers to crane number 33400. Any ideas?
Also note the wonderful War Department trolley in the background. Is it a Baguley or a Wickham? Was not aware of any being resident on the ELR.

Although not clear, the crane number on the match is 331400 and behind is Simplex MR 9009 - see uklocos.com .

From information rec'd, the match wagon 331400 was a match wagon to an ex GWR Crane that used to be resident on the ELR several years ago. This Crane was in such a condition that it was dangerous to operate, so itwas scrapped. The match wagon was/is in a reasonable condition so we kept it as a match for 920135
