This is the first time this trolley had run on the line for many years. There are some video clips we took posted on YouTube.
DE960701 is actually a ficticious number for a Wickham - this came from the number of a Pooley van at the Wickham's former home at the Stour Valley Railway (now EARM.) It is actually Wickham 1946.
Keith has all the details of this trolley from the owner Paul Baldry. He may be able to add more.

It is a Type 17A built in 1935 and originally delivered to the LNER at Tiptree in Essex. Originally fitted with a JAP 1323 engine.

Yes the engine is different now too - if memory serves it came from a trolley at Long Marston? In fact there isn't much of the original trolley here at all! We're back to the old restoration / replica debate here...!

The unofficial view seems to be that if the chassis / frame has had to be scrapped / replaced then it has to be seen as a replica. My answer is I am just glad to see a Wickham that has been restored to running condition and looks in such good condition!
