Is this self-propelled as it seems to have no couplings, at either end?

There are couplings on the flat ends - they normally work either side of a locomotive.

And for those that didn't know - the curved metal bars along the roof are for breaking off icicles inside tunnels

on the lower blade of the plough, lift up the access panels (white handles)
and a drawbar can be fitted for towing the 'plough' end as will be needed here (a stop block at other end!)
