Why does everyone refer to Network Rail as "NWR"?!!!!!! "Network" is one word so whats wrong with NR?!!!

Because there are other NR's - Northern Rail, Northumbria Rail, etc. Network Rail often use NwR in their own puplications when they're talking about themselves.

Network Rail refer to themselves as NWR in any paper work or documentation that they generate.
