    Did one or two of these mark 5 TRAMMs have a full set of ballast ploughs under the trailer cab? I know 98215-98220 don't, but it looks like there may have been provision for them

    I think it was the later generation of TRAMMs which had ploughs, quote from my trusty OTP book "the ploughing of outer sleeper ends and ballast shoulders"

    As far as i can remember DR 98214 had ploughs as well.

    any idea if the rams etc shown under the cab in this pic

    are part of the plough or ballast conveyor as mentioned above?

    No, the rams under the front of the cab are for rail thimbling equipment.
