How are these usually identified? Is there a works plate somewhere?

The plate is behind the driver's seat - you can just about see it in this photo.

A nice little silver plate behinf the drivers seat. There is a makers plate, and next to that an RRV data panel plate. You normally actually have to have access to the machines to be able to ID them.

I dont think that they have been around long enough to attract attention of that sort yet.

No, none in preservation yet, though a few have been tested on preserved lines. Look out for a version based on the the Polaris Ranger soon ;)
