Dave will be able to say more but this was purchased off eBay for the Aln Valley Railway project. Believe it came from Belgium.

Thats a pretty good summary. It was bought from a machine dealer in the UK who had aquired it from a scrap yard in the UK - how it got there from Belgium or Germany we don't know! And if you look carefully I'm residing in the cab of the ALCo in full HV gear!

Tank is still out for repair - in the meantime the vehicle is having other work undertaken; a new windscreen is being fitted, the electrics are being checked over, etc.

The tank has been repaired by a contractor and has now been refitted and pipes refitted - new oil arrived today so the tank will be filled to the correct level this week and the machine run up to pressure.

Machine has been in use the last few weekends, but now requires some work on the starting and charging circuits.
