https://railvelocipedes.org/ will be holding a velocipede rally at The North Yorkshire Moors Railway over the weekend of 5th / 6th November 2022, between Levisham and New Bridge. So if you are interested in early PWay vehicles (Trikes & Pump Trolleys), this might be of interest to you.

All hand powered machine owners are invited – please get in contact with Jacqui Thomas (jackiethomas002@...) if you would like to come or for more details.

This is the first Rally on one of the UK's most beautiful heritage lines since 2019 and a great chance to fettle your vehicle and get some physical exercise before the Christmas indulgence, or obviously a chance to watch, photograph and film these unusual machines.

If you are interested in human powered rail vehicles, you might like The Rail Trolley Trust's Flickr Group dedicated to them - https://www.flickr.com/groups/3811100@N22/

Great stuff. I believe a 'rail bike' appeared in the classic 1958 documentary film 'Under Night Streets'. Then of course there is the pump trolley scene in The Titfield Thunderbolt. I wonder how many others have appeared on screen?
