Network Rail are appealing to former signalling (etc) staff to get involved with helping to keep the railways operating during this current situation...

[Network Rail] is looking for any former Signallers, Train Running Controllers, Incident Controllers and Electrical Control Room Operators (ECRO) who are interested in getting back involved in these roles while we deal with the effects of COVID-19 on our workforce.

We need to build our resilience so that we are prepared to continue operating trains even if a significant portion of the Signaller workforce cannot come into work.

This is essential for the country. We need to keep trains moving so that fuel gets to power stations, goods get into supermarkets and petrol gets into the pumps.

There is no limit on how long ago you may have worked in these roles, even if it was 10-15 years ago please get in touch. Please also pass this on to any retired colleagues you may still be in touch with. Full refresher training will be provided where needed.
