Anyone know why carillion have put these machine into storage? If they have no work for them they usually hire them out to the maintainer. Whats the plan for there future?

I'm not sure these ones are owned by Carillion any more - they may have passed over to Network Rail?

I am led to believe that when the maintenance contacts went back in house (NWR took over) machines like these and the Mk5's were leased off Carillion/Balfours etc for the maintenance depots until the SRS's and Unimog's that NWR do own were brought on line.

There was mention on OTPgen that these are owned by Porterbrook(?) - they store a lot of their stock at Eastleigh?
