I have a question for the hive. My father was a tamper supervisor at Eastleigh in the 1970-80's. I know he worked on a Plasser and Theurer 07-16 Universal Liner/Tamper. But I don't know which one. Would anyone have any records as to the machines allocated to Eastleigh at that time and if it has survived? Thank you in advance.

I've checked through all the 07-16 machines, and the only ones I can find observed (observations on the site) at Eastleigh in the period were 73251 noted at EH upto 1988 and B/U EMR, Kingsbury 5/13, 73261 which seemed to be a regular at EH upto 1996 and B/U by EMR, Kingsbury 5/13, 73265 noted there upto 1987 and B/U at Booths 4/11, and 73276 only noted a few times between 1985 - 1988 and B/U at EMR, Kingsbury in 5/13. Sorry, there are no sightings for the 1970s. I hope some of the above may help. All the best. Roger.
