On the Industrial Railway Society forum someone has posted a couple of pictures of a new machine of this type apparently having been unloaded at Southampton Docks around 26th July. Anyone know any more about this?

I suspect, but can't confirm, that it'll probably head to Scotland or South Wales for use on the various electrification projects there?
Looking at internet, only one AVPc500 seems to be mentioned, for Thailand in 2020. Wonder if it's the same one.

Don't think it will appear in Scotland 250 has been Ring Fenced for Scottish projects so highly unlikely another unit will be required. Could be proved wrong though.
Was told recently that 250 is actually Owned by Alstom hence living in Alstom sidings at Polmadie and is only leased to NR Scotland
Will be out and about on the Barrhead wiring soon as the masts are going up at a rapid pace

A message from Mark Hambly on the IRS io Group identifies this vehicle as an APVc 500 works number 1904880/1 of 2022, in transit from the SVI Italy factory to a Metro system in Taiwan. Another SVI vehicle has also taken the same route.
