Saw this little machine at Winchcombe on the Gloucester Warwickshire Railway at the gala yesterday. Anyone know anything about it, I can't seem to find it on the site?

I've uploaded the photo to this site but I'm just waiting for it to be approved. That search doesn't throw up any machines that fit unfortunately!

Doesn't appear on the list for G&WSR as it is owned by a contractor and travels from site-to-site depending on where it's needed.

That's correct, it's B & R Track Services's ballast packer. It came in on hire earlier this year to work on the Broadway extension, primarily to help get the section from Laverton to Buckland open to passenger-carrying traffic. It'll stay until such time as a customer elsewhere wishes to hire it.

One of the tampers and a regulator from the same company have also been working there.
I believe another session is due soon.
