Passing this location yesterday 8th August at great speed I noted 97012 and 97013 as well as a Speno rail grinding set. Any information on the Speno would be most welcome.
Thanks for all you do

Ted,
If you check previous sightings at Singlewell, it is likely to be this one https://www.ontrackplant.com/otp/speno-rr48m2 although I see from my scribble on July 15th that I wrote "Speno RRM 32" so now I'm a little confused although all recent sightings at Singlewell are this one.
Andrew
Speno have three RR 32 M machines , so its entirely plausible that it was one of those.
Did ashford steve 100% confirm the identity of the machine at Singlewell?
Those of you with a copy of On-Track Plant (11th Edition) will be aware that on page 108 only three HS1 visitors are shown. The only grinder beeing the Speno RR 48 M-2 99 87 9127 510-5 which has regularly visited annually for a number of years. I personally saw it at Singlewell in July. I would be extremely surprised if a RR 32 had arrived subsequently.
Speno RR 48 M-2 99 87 9127 510-5 was noted by myself and two friends at Singlewell on 25 August 2025.
