Website not saving location of large machine sightings?

I've noticed that for the couple of sightings I've added of large track machines this month, using the 'Log Sightings' button, that it's not saved the location I've entered, coming up as 'place unknown' in my sightings of that specific machine, and just appearing as blank on my recent sightings list, meaning I then have to go and edit these sightings to add the location back in. The sightings I've entered by the vehicle's own page don't seem to be affected by this issue, and I didn't encounter it on sightings inputted on the 16th March, so seems to be a recent thing.

Thanks.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I have disabled the page until I am in a position to look into & fix it.

I have now fixed this (hopefully!) - please let me know if you have any further problems.

I had the same issue on Saturday logging two trailers I saw, I put it down to my own stupidity but I had also entered the location on the log your sightings page. I then had to edit my sightings with the location. Just mentioning it as Dan said large machines, has your fix Vince, also included smaller items as well.

Yes my fix should apply to everything logged through the "log your sightings" page.

Thanks for sorting that out Vince, all seems to work OK now. I didn't know whether it was the same for small machines/road-railers as I usually use the machine's own page for those - a legacy from several years ago when there may have been conflict with certain wagons, or machines that have carried numbers in error etc, and when it used to just add the number to your sightings, instead of the current, and eminently more useful 'Operator - Fleet Number - UIC Number' format.
