Early on the morning of January 4th, Balfour Beattys Kirow crane had a slight mishap.

Perhaps "slight" isn't the correct word however. The crane is believed to have completely fallen on it's side whilst lifting track panels. What exactly happened is still not completely known.

The GrantPlant Kirow crane and Old Oak Common breakdown crane were dispatched to resolve the problem, and the Balfour Beatty one was moved to Clapham yard.

On Friday 9th Jan, it moved to Ashford for tests and repairs...

The crane now repaired and is to be used at Clapham Junction over the Easter weekend.
