The oldest Network Rail registered tamper is finally going for preservation!
At 30 years old, 73214 has spent the last few months languishing amongst the bushes in Three Bridges yard.
Advertised for sale back in June, it is to move the the NYMR by the end of this year.
This now leaves 73301 as the oldest NR registered tamper, but this is stored at York OTPD.

73214 was a Bristol District machine when new from Plassers
