There have been several developments recently, so here is a quick round-up of what has happened.

New Machines

73938 & 73939 - these two arrived late last year for Balfour Beatty. Build details unknown.

73940 - 1245/2003.

73941 - 1246/2003 (assumed) - these two arrived in March for Jarvis.

75403 - the build number for this GrantPlant tamper is still unknown.

79251-79257 - this Loram grinder arrived in December.

79261-79265 & 79271-79275 - these five Harsco grinders are now all in the country.

Ownership changes

PL005 and PL015 are now refurbished and working for Border Rail, previously being stored in Scotland.

Disposals

73389 - a visit to the Midland Railway Centre in March revealed that the cab of this machine has been cut off! The engine and buffers were also nearby.

Possible Disposal

98206 - this hasn't been seen at Bristol Kingsland Road since August 2003. We think it may have been scrapped, but this is yet to be confirmed.
