Several arrivals and departures occured during August/September.

Arrivals

Colas Rail took delivery of DR 73948 - another new 08-4x4/4S-RT Switch & Crossing Tamper.

79266 & 79276 - a new Harsco RGH-20C S&C rail-grinder arrived at the end of September/start of October. This is a replacement for the fire-damaged 79275 which was scrapped at Eastleigh during August.

Disposals

One of the network's longest demics - DRC81533 - was finally removed from Willesden F sidings and moved to Ron Hull's in Rotherham at the end of August. It was shunted over to Wembley depot and roaded out.

Preserved crane ADRC96706 was scrapped at the Churnet Valley Railway during September 2010. If anyone requires any spare parts please contact CVR on 01538 361298 asap.

Fastline update

A few ex-Fastline machines went abroad during August/September

72214 went to the United Arab Emirates.

73001 left for South Africa, where it is now hard at work.

76308 left for Italy.
