Happy near year! Here is a very short round-up of on-track plant news during December 2025.

Colas Rail's new tampers DR73953 & DR73954

Colas Rail's new tampers completed testing and driver training at the Severn Valley Railway in December and moved to the Chinnor & Princes Risborough Railway for further trials. They then moved to Colas' Rugby depot for the Christmas period.

Recent Exports

During December the Matisa P95 High Output Track Renewal Train and associated wagons which were recently offered for sale by Network Rail moved from the Burton-on-Trent Nemesis Rail depot to Dollands Moor via Wembley for export. They are ultimately heading to Italy.

At the end of November Balfour Beatty's DR73939 "Pat Best" left the country bound for refurbishment at Plasser's Austria works, and destined for re-use elsewhere.
